Sustainability

A choice that enhances our fabrics.

FABRICS THAT RESPECT
ENVIRONMENT AND HEALTH

Tessilidea truly believes in those values that can improve the quality of life. In particular, the protection of our environment and the production processes that respect sustainability and health. The fabrics we wear every day or on important occasions are our second skin.

For this reason it is essential not only that they are free of toxic or polluting substances, but that they are created while thinking about the continuous cycle of matter, with a strong focus not only on quality and performance, but also on product safety parameters.

In this perspective, our line looks to the future of the environment thanks to the use of natural fibers, organic fibers, organic cottons, and eco-friendly fibers such as, hemp, cupro, Tencel®, eco-innovative, recycled and renewable yarns.

The attention paid to research and the use of eco-friendly fibers joins the implementation of eco-sustainable and responsible production cycles that can, on one hand, guarantee the protection of health and the environment and, on the other hand, produce fabrics capable to comply with national, European and international regulations.

GLOBAL ORGANIC TEXTILE STANDARD (GOTS)

Tessilidea has obtained the following certifications: The Global Organic textile Standard (GOTS) and the Textile’s Exchange’s Organic Content Standard (OCS).
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibres, including ecological and social criteria, backed up by independent third-party certification of the entire textile supply chain.
This standard stipulates requirements throughout the supply chain for both ecological and labour conditions in textile and apparel manufacturing using organically produced raw materials. Organic production is based on a system of farming that maintains and replenishes soil fertility without the use of toxic, persistent pesticides or synthetic fertilisers. In addition, it includes welfare standards for animal husbandry and prohibits genetically modified organisms.
The Organic Content Standard (OCS) is a voluntary global standard that sets the criteria for third-party certification of organic materials and chain of custody.
In a notoriously complex supply chain, the purpose of the OCS is to help strengthen companies’ claims that the products they sell contain organically grown fibers. It does this by managing the chain of custody and reconciling volumes of organic materials as they move along the supply chain.
This choice reflects ethical and sustainable values in which Tessilidea believes and promotes, and in the quality of their fabrics as well.
These are not only certifications but a conscious commitment to respecting nature.

Tessilidea
and the social

Sustainability is also ethical and social: Tessilidea complies with all current regulations on working conditions, in particular, does not exploit illegal or child labor, and takes care of a decent, safe and welcoming work environment.

Sustainable development also means setting precise objectives, collaborating with suppliers through long-term partnerships and monitoring the entire supply chain while respecting the environment. This allows at any time to obtain a very important result: a precise and timely traceability of the product.

If fashion passes, the only trend that remains the same for Tessilidea is the quality of life that we wear every day.
